Hello, you fool...

Last year, for some reason, possibly due to boredom or some sort of half-baked idea, I started writing down the names and numbers of every cab driver I encountered. Whenever i get out of a cab, I try to remember the number anyway, in case I lose something. Anyway, on Saturday, Jed and I were in a cab, and it happened to be one of the few cabs I documented before I lost interest. Of course, I probably would've remembered without the list. You don't really forget a name like "Muhammed Islam" very easily. I s'pose it's possible that there are more than two cabbies with that name, but the cab number matched as well. For some reason, I always wonder things like "I wonder if I've ever been in this cab before?" Or if I'm in a bar, I often think "I wonder how many times i've used this exact glass before?" Well, as far as I know, I'd never been in the same cab twice before. So whoopee. What a weekend.
Along similar lines of "I wonder," yesteryday I was on the subway listening to my iPod, and I thought, "I wonder how many other people in the world are, at this exact moment, also listening to Roxette's "Joyride." I'm pretty sure I was the only one.
Speaking of Roxette, I've often said that if I were ever a professional baseball player, that would be the song I'd have playing as I stepped into the batter's box or came running out of the bullpen.
Also- for my job, I need to have a myspace account so I can look up the information of random bands. So I have exactly two friends, one of whom is the co-founder of myspace who is on everyone's friend list. So yesterday, I requested that Roxette be added to my friends list. I was a bit surprised that they even had a myspace page. What was the saddest part was that, while most bands on there have hundreds of fans, Roxette had 46. With any luck, they'll approve my request and it'll be 47.
